Carmin started e-BlackWomenNetwork in 2007 after taking a leap of faith and leaving her "secure" state university job. "I knew I was being called to a higher purpose - and that purpose is to motivate and inspire women from all walks of life but particularly those who desire to be entrepreneurs or who are already entrepreneurs but just need some encouragement, motivation and business tools and resources to grow their business."

Carmin has been an entrepreneur for years, mostly while holding down a full-time job and mothering two children alone following a divorce.

She's owned the following businesses:  wedding planning, professional cake decorating, event planning, secretarial service and a lady's suit business. What she didn't realize years ago was that she was creating "multiple streams of income."

"I believe that we should embrace and approach business development and marketing in a holistic manner."  She realizes that it takes more than a slick website and a mailing list to build and maintain a successful business. It takes "realization of one's purpose and allowing our passion to fuel our commitment to our purpose."  This "serial entrepreneur" is also the published author of a relationship memoir, Lessons Learned:  While Looking for Love in All the Wrong Faces.
